Pure Cocoa Butter, Pure Gold

Pure cocoa butter has so many benefits that it’s actually worth its weight in gold. This wonderful natural product is the ultimate moisturizer. Not only does it soften your skin and make it as smooth as silk, it can also effectively reduce scars and stretch marks and treat skin ailments like eczema.

You can try pure cocoa butter in different ways; use the chunks directly or grate them and use the shavings.

Soak in the goodness
Add a small piece of pure cocoa butter to your hot bath. It will dissolve into the water and as you bathe, you feel the moist goodness coating your skin and turning it silky smooth to the touch

Rub it in
You can also take a small piece of cocoa butter into the shower with you. The heat from the water is enough to soften it so that you can rub it onto your skin.

Pamper your skin
Your body retains some heat after a hot bath so this is the best time to use a moisturizer. Your pores are open so the skin’s capacity to absorb is at its maximum. Since cocoa butter melts at body temperature, you can directly apply it to your skin without melting it first.

Banish those stretch marks
Clean the area with warm water and a mild cleanser. Pat dry your skin with a soft, clean towel.

Take a quarter-sized amount of cocoa butter and gently but firmly massage it into the stretch marks. Rub the cocoa butter into skin for about 30 to 60 seconds.

Allow 5 to 10 minutes for the skin to absorb the pure cocoa butter.

Do this around twice a day; once in the morning and once at night before bed.

Tips & Warnings
This treatment requires a lot of patience as it can take up to a month or longer, before you notice the stretch marks fading. If you experience any skin redness or irritation, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician.

Get rid of nasty scars
First, wash the area to be treated. For extra healing benefits, exfoliate the skin with a coarse wash cloth in the shower and then towel dry.

Firmly massage the pure cocoa butter directly onto your skin in a firm, circular motion. Since scars are made of thick, fibrous collagen, the rubbing motion aids in smoothening them out. Moisture from the cocoa butter also helps stimulate the breakdown of the collagen protein.

Make sure to continue massaging until the cocoa butter disappears. Skin responds very well to moisture and the biggest benefit of removing scars is skin hydration. Pure cocoa butter’s wonderful moisturizing quality has a great effect on new as well as old scars. Pure cocoa butter not only lubricates skin, it also helps lighten scars.

Carry out this application up to three times a day. Over time, you will notice a change in the look and feel of your skin, plus a less visible scar. Your skin will also continue to heal itself with aggressive massaging.

Tips & Warnings
Do not try this on open wounds. Wait until your scar has completely healed before beginning the treatment process.
